School Council is a very active organization at École Forest Trail Public School with many parent volunteers participating in council, committees, events, programs and initiatives.  Check out Council Meetings to find out when the next meeting is.

The purpose of School Council is to work with administration to help set the direction of the school to build a healthy learning environment where our students are happy and thriving.  

In our December meeting, School Council combined the various "wish lists" received from school administration, student parliament and parents, and broke them down into five categories.  Our focus for the 2011/2012 school year is to address the five categories: Technology, Student Learning, Safety & Well-Being, Friends & Community, and "Our Backyard".  Currently there are several initiatives in progress to achieve elements in each.   For example, Movie nights are happening, Carnaval planning is well underway as is the preparations for a Zumba & Yoga day in March and the summer EFT Mini-Olympics in June!  

Below are some prioritized items from the wish lists broken down into the categories, and noted are the items that have been approved to date.  As more funds are raised and secured, we will continue to add and/or approve items on this list.

We would like to welcome you all to another great year at Ecole Forest Trail!  As we begin our 5th year, we are pleased to share with you some new improvements to our website.

• Firstly, our website has a NEW LOOK!  We've made some changes to make it easier to navigate and find exactly what you are looking for!
• Secondly, we made it mobile friendly.  This means that you can now view it easily on your mobile device.

Survey Results

The School Council Parent Survey conducted in the Fall of 2010 has been tabulated and the results are in.    You are able to view a summarized version of the results here.

School Council has a Bulletin Board located just outside of the office for your convenience.   It is constantly updated with current information so be sure to check it out whenever you're in the school.
