Communications Committee Assignments
Committee Liaison:
- Be the Communications Liaison for a specific Committee to ensure that all communications from that committee meets the proper guidelines and approvals.
- Assist in the writing of flyers, assist in obtaining Council and Administration’s approvals.
Time Commitment:
- This varies by committee but should be approximately 2 - 10 hours per month.
- Most work can be done electronically or by phone.
- Attend monthly Communications Committee Meeting (at a time suitable for members).
Class Rep Liaison:
- Organize and manage list of all Class Reps (1 parent per class).
- Disseminate information from council to Class Reps via e-mail.
- Collect information (if any) from Class Reps to share with council.
Time Commitment:
- Initial set up would take some time coordinate (approximately 10 hours). On going, probably 1 hour a month.
- Attend monthly Communications Committee Meeting (at a time suitable for members).
Newsletter Editor:
- Collect news articles from contributors, edit for spelling / grammar.
- Ensure contributors meet timelines.
- Obtain appropriate approvals from Council and Administration.
- Publish newsletter monthly.
Time Commitment:
- This assignment is currently being done by 2 people and take approximately 10 hours per month. Work is being done to streamline the process.
- Knowledge of our website (training available).
- Most work is done electronically but is very time sensitive.
- Attend monthly Communications Committee Meeting (at a time suitable for members).
Webmaster:
- Update and manage the EFTSC Website.
- Upgrade website when necessary.
Time Commitment:
- This assignment is currently being done by 1 person with a back up. The task currently take approximately 20 hours per month.
- Knowledge of website and networks an asset, training is available. Most work can be done from home but is very time sensitive.
- Attend monthly Communications Committee Meeting (at a time suitable for members).
