Education Day - Tue. Sep 20 / 2011

Before you make your X, know your candidates' ABC's

Education Day is a non-partisan event where the local candidates from the 4 major provincial parties; share their views and answer qustions on the issues affecting public education.

Lancaster Clothing Drive - May 25 / 2011

It’s that time of year again!  Time to go through your closets and pull out any gently used baby, children’s, men’s and women’s clothing, footwear, linens, toys, skates, soccer shoes etc.

Drop off at ÉFT: May 25th (all day) & May 26th (until 10 a.m.)

ÉFT is joining with other schools to support Lancaster Public School, located in an area of Mississauga where many refugees have come to live.   Many of them arrive in Canada with next to nothing.

Twice a year, the school opens up their gymnasium and displays donations.   For only a penny per item, families can purchase necessities for their entire family, with their dignity intact.

Cooking Classes en Francais - April / May 2011

Cooking classes in French will be available on a first come, first served basis for our students in grades 1, 2, 3 & 4 basis.   Classes will be held at the Real Canadian Superstore on Dundas at Trafalgar.

Grades 1 and 2:  April 6th or May 11th, 5:30 to 6:30
Grades 3 and 4:  April 13th and May 18th, 5:30 to 7:30

Registration for classes is necessary and there is a fee.   Please see the document for your child's grade for full course information and sign up sheet.   There are different dates, organized by grade so please use the appropriate document.

At Home Alone Workshop - Thu. Apr 14 / 2011

At Home Alone is a FREE workshop designed to help families prepare their 10-14 year old to be responsible and safe while home alone.

Child(ren) and parent(s) MUST attend together.

When:   Thursday, April 14th, 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Where:  École Forest Trail Gym (maximum capacity is 180)

Register no later than Friday, April 8th, 2011.   See flyer.

Family Skate Night - Thu. Feb 10 / 2011

Family Skate Night at Bronte Creek Provincial Park 

Thursday, February 10th 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

In an effort to engage more ÉFT families in fun activities, the Parents Engaging Parents (PEP) Committee is hosting a skating night at Bronte Creek Provincial Park.   

What a great way to meet some other EFT Families, have our children play together outside of school, and just have some great family fun.  Come and enjoy a fun filled evening of outdoor skating, music and bonfire!  All families and friends are welcome. 

Rental skates and food are available at the Park Store.   Park entry fee is $16 per vehicle - carpooling highly recommended.

Everyone including parents, French teachers and student-teachers, University students  (beginners’ level), High School students and, for the first hour, Grade 5 & 6 students
