COMMITTEES

Our strong committees create a successful School Council. We have several committees at Forest Trail with very dedicated teams of parent volunteers.

Parent Engaging Parents Committee (PEP) seeks to support, encourage and enhance parent engagement at the school level in order to improve student achievement and well-being. PEP serves an integral role within the School Council by providing parents with the opportunity to voice their concerns, ideas and challenges while promoting further parent involvement through events.

The mission of the fundraising committee is to organize and execute events / activities throughout the school year in order to raise funds for enriching the learning experience of all Forest Trail Public School students.

The safety and well-being of our students is very important for School Council.  Throughout the year, we work in conjunction with the school to bring important programs and information to both parents and students.

Our mission is to foster the community spirit of Forest Trail by improving and enhancing the quality of life for all human beings. Our commitment is to make a difference in the lives of others through acts of kindness. Our committee is based on voluntary actions for the common good, fostering a tradition of giving and sharing which allows us the opportunity to give back to our community.

The mission of the Communications Committee is to build communication bridges to connect parents, staff, board & council members by building a user-friendly communication hub that will connect school society at many levels.

CPF is the Canadian Parents for French.  This committee act as a liaison between this group and our school, with cultural, academic, social, and financial benefits for our students.

The mission of the Constitution Committee is to develop the Forest Trail School Council Constitution and Bylaws to ensure governance of our council.
